The tournament gives students a goal to work towards:
In Kungfu, the journey is more memorable than the destination. Sometimes it’s important to have a destination first in order to set off on a journey. Nothing ventured is nothing gained. This means unless the student goes on an adventure, they can’t gain anything physical or emotional. Go on an adventure! Adventures might seem scary, but what you get in return is irreplaceable.
The tournament enables students to be more decisive:
Students sometimes are very uninvolved and oblivious in what they do. The tournament helps students take a more active role in registering and preparing for the tournament. Whenever a child is given any type of document, they tend to simply hand it to their parents or throw them aside. Our goal is to have the student do most of the registration and preparation with minimal help from their parents.
The tournament gives students insight and perspective:
Students will understand how tournaments works as a whole. They will understand the process of tournaments in every aspect from head to toe. From the forms they do to the method in which the forms are scored. They will learn how the tournaments are organized and how to navigate through the tournament venue. Students will be prepared not only for the in-house tournament but for future events as well.
