2/18/2024 Happy Chinese New Year! For the year of the dragon, we held a dumpling party to celebrate with students and friends.
This year had a smaller audience of attendees as it would be uncertain if we could accommodate a large number of people during a rainy day. Many of the students enjoyed playing games and participating in Chinese New Year activities. Activities involved dumpling wrapping and calligraphy. the games varied between physical and intellectual entertainment.
Our guests also enjoyed an international potluck during which they would be quizzed on Chinese New Year. When finishing up, we handed out red envelopes and made a lot of noise with our unique approach towards Chinese firecrackers.
