On Sunday, November 5th 2023, SKZ held a collaborative event with a Boys Team Charity.
The majority of members from this group were middle school students. Many of them were taller than us. As this boys team were middle schoolers, many of them were at a very challenging age.
During this event, we taught many boys scouts with no martial arts background some Kungfu to give them a taste of our culture.
They entered our Studio with apprehension. Many were shy and nervous. As they warmed up to the class though, they became much more open and spirited in their approach towards class.
They were all physically talented and capable, reaching the age where one would be at their physical peak.
We aim to guide this excess energy in a positive direction. As the class reached its conclusion, many of the boys showed a more genuine interest in Kungfu and couldn’t stop moving.
