To get into the spooky Halloween tradition, we have been making preparations for an upcoming Halloween party. We’ve been getting excited for the Halloween tradition with some activities and games before the day of Halloween. Our students are excited for what’s to come.
Personal Art: All of our students have drawn pictures on small 3x3 sheets of paper following the theme of Kungfu and Halloween. We have some very talented artists and our judges struggled to pick out the pictures they liked the most. There are three groups divided by age and self-perceived skill level. The winners picked out in each respective group will receive a prize.
Poster Art: We provided posters for our students to decorate and put up for display. Some art posters were a team project completed within less than a class period. Some posters are completed by individuals from home after a longer period of time. Be sure to show your appreciation for these projects.
Halloween Cultural Mix: We have devised an interesting game that mixes Halloween with Kungfu culture! In this game, the objective is to collect as much candy as possible from a mountain of candy using only chopsticks. Chopsticks trains dexterity and improves hand-eye coordination. Some students are able to skillfully grab lots of candy while others are barely capable of holding chopsticks. Unfortunately, even if our students gathered a lot of candy, they’ll have to wait until the Halloween party if they want to take any home.
We’re holding and preparing the Halloween party for many reasons:
· We wish to hold activities for students to take an active part in.
· To enrich both life and learning.
· We wish to showcase the individual talents of our students.
· We want our students to immerse and invest themselves in something.
· To enrich the overall class atmosphere
If you’ve signed up, you’ll be experiencing more Halloween fun. See you at the party!
