Bret Harte Middle School Heritage Day Performance

A large majority of our students who attend Bret Harte middle school volunteered to perform on Friday for Heritage Day on May 2nd, 2025. In this performance, many of our Team Class students were mixed in with our regular class students. Because of this, their performance had a large variety of different forms.

This time, there was a soft mat laid out for our performance. As a result, our performers were able to move more explosively without reserve. Our performers jumped higher flew farther and slammed the ground with much more power than their rehearsals. They performed with much more confidence than normal. It was as if they had been told to let loose and go all out just for this one day.

Once the performance completed, they were given a unanimous applause by the audience. Many friends came up to greet our performers with lots of energy and excitement. One of our older students named Justin Lai came to support our younger generation in their endeavors by being the narrator for the performance. This year’s Kungfu Ambassadors did an amazing job at stirring up curiosity and interest in the art of Kungfu. Everyone performed quite fiercely and was given red envelopes at the end. We look forward to next year’s Heritage Day!

Kara: The audience was very excited by the performance. There was a lot of students at Bret Harte. They were excited because they knew the people at the performance, it was very fun and everyone did very good.
