Grandmaster Shifu Andy represented IWSD at the Chinese Consulate's celebration of China's 77th National Day

On September 29, 2026, Shaolin Kungfu Zen Academy founder Shifu Andy Ye represented the International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association (IWSD) at a reception celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, hosted by the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco.

During the reception, Shifu Andy had the pleasure of speaking with Consul General Zhang Jianmin and his wife, Zheng Xin, and reconnecting with Counselor Wang Wenhui. He shared highlights of IWSD’s recent martial arts activities and cultural exchange initiatives in the Bay Area, including its participation in WNBA and NBA community events.

The reception offered an opportunity to connect with community leaders and friends, exchange ideas, and discuss how Chinese martial arts can strengthen cultural understanding and community ties.

It was a meaningful evening of cultural exchange and friendship.
