My name is Ocean and I have been practicing Kungfu for about 4 years. I am 14 years and go to Leigh High School. I love being in nature. (hiking, mountain biking)
Before COVID-19 I attended 4 classes a week and generally felt great. I hope to regain these qualities now that I’m training again.
How did Kungfu benefit in your overall life?
Practicing Kungfu taught me to be better and made me better. Before COVID-19 I attended 2 classes Tuesday and Thursday, 1 class on Wednesday or Friday and Team Class on Saturday. During this period of time, I generally felt great. I was more active, motivated, and stronger. However this deteriorated during the months of lockdown. I am now more lazy, less motivated and weak. These things are quite noticeable and I hope that by continuing to practice, I can regain these qualities.
Thoughts on your own performance?
I thought I could have done better. I’ve done these forms and movements much better before, but today I didn’t do as well. This is also the first time I was unable to hold Mabu so that is disappointing.
Explain how you were feeling before, during and after the test.
I actually wasn’t too stressed which was a blessing and a curse. Usually that gives me adrenaline making me stronger and less tired, but today I had no adrenaline overall. I felt like I did okay.
