Kungfu has opened up again in Enlighten Chinese School. Every year, SKZ teaches Kungfu in Enlighten as an after school program. As our goal is to spread the Kungfu culture to as many people possible, this program gives us an opportunity to teach new aspiring youths who have yet to discover their passions in life. This class gives them an opportunity to learn, reflect and discover.
This year’s Kungfu class has a surprisingly large showing of students. Originally announced as five students, eleven students had arrived on the first day instead. Three of our students are returnees from last year while everyone else is a new face. One individual student is recognized from our summer camp program in Enlighten.
This year’s students are all very intelligent and passionate about learning. They are taking everything with an open mind and an open heart. Many of them have no problems with following the curriculum and some have already developed a sense of leadership and responsibility. This gives us a very positive outlook towards their futures in looking after one another and helping each other grow. We look forward to what this year has in store for us.
