SKZ IN-HOUSE TOURNAMENT SPECIAL THANKS 2023

Thanks

To all who participated in the success of our tournament, we would like to extend some warm words of gratitude.

Thank you to the judges who dedicated time out of their own busy schedules to help setup the venue and assess our athletes. We hope this was an enjoyable event for you.

Thank you to the volunteers who took on the roles of chaperoning, announcing and managing registrations. Without your help, we wouldn’t have been able to focus on managing the tournament.

Thank you to our official staff members who did various tasks and miscellaneous work, You are the hand the blocks the wind from blowing out the candle.

Finally a special thanks to our special guest who took on various jobs as the Jury of Appeal and as the acting scorekeeper.

You drove in from very far to make this event a success!

To the parents, thank you for the support that you have shown to the students. For many parents, this was your first time experiencing the classroom atmosphere.

Many of our athletes were nervous but wanted to show you their school spirit. Thank you for being understanding of the rules and regulations. As a result, we were able to do our jobs as efficiently as possible.

Thank you to the students for following our properly following the steps and procedures. This is a fundamental step towards building your independence and growing up.

Many athletes cheered each other on and encouraged one another. This a great form of teamwork and kinship.

Many athletes followed the Check-In Staff very well. They were able to show a proper level of discipline and respect as a result.

Many athletes showed bravery and confidence by going up on the rings and performing in front of the judges.

Now that everyone understands more about themselves and their general skill levels, this will be a good starting point for setting new goals.

If you’re not satisfied with your result, aim to do better.

If you got the result you wanted, aim for more challenging goals!

Review

1. Our goal was to start a trend for our athletes. If they could actively train and prepare for events and tournaments on their own, they could make a personal effort towards self-improvement.

“If you give you a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for life.”

By constantly working toward self-improvement, students create a perpetual loop of beneficial habits.

2. This tournament created a good opportunity for our students to build goals for themselves. Normally our students practice Kungfu in the classroom, but have no personal desire to practice on their own free time.

Many have all the time to practice, but couldn’t be bothered to. The tournament gave many of these students the opportunity to train more.

3. Many of our athletes in the tournament inspired one another. By competing they were exposed to others at higher levels. Now our athletes, can set new goals to be the new role models.

“The better you become, the better you attract. If you want to be better, you have to get better.”

4. Our athletes were able to find things that they need to improve on.

Through communication and understanding how to improve on teamwork, they can improve further.

Overall

December 3, 2023 SKZ hosted their own Tournament. Everyone pitched in and worked together.

The event was a success.

All our athletes were able to learn much about themselves.

Many left satisfied and others maybe unsatisfied. In the end, what’s important is that everyone gained something from the event, experience.

That experience can be molded into the next success.

If you can dream it, you can do it.

We look forward to next year.
