Early in the morning, our coaches from SKZ went to Enlighten Chinese School during the school district ski break.
During this time, some parents are still working while the kids are out of school. We showed up early in the morning and taught a class of over 40 students for over 3 hours.
The students all ranged from ages 5 to 17. Everyone was very spirited and energetic. During this event, we focused on teaching two forms. They all learned Lianhuan Quan and Double Daggers.
The group had no trouble learning Lianhuan Quan and mastered it with ease. Double Daggers was more challenging, but they still enjoyed learning the form.
Among the older students were TAs. The TAs did a great job as caretakers for the children. Whenever a child needed their nose wiped, to drink water, or to use the restroom, the TA was there to help. By the end of the class, everyone worked up an appetite and still practiced Kungfu as they were eating.
We hope everyone had as much fun learning as we did teaching.
