SKZ families gathered to celebrate Chinese New Year with an afternoon full of culture, connection, and community spirit. Students and parents participated in calligraphy, festive games, dumpling wrapping, and a shared potluck meal. On Saturday, February 21, 2026, our team proudly presented a Chinese New Year Lion Dance performance at the Almaden Library. Although it was one of our later performances this season, the team’s spirit and energy were stronger than ever. New Year Performance in the Santa Teresa Chinese Community

Justin Lai , a student of SKZ, is currently attending San Jose State University. Before leaving for college, Justin had reached IWSD 3rd Degree Black Belt and was officially instituted as a Kungfu National Team Member. Happy Year of the Horse! Classes open up again on the first week of the year! Coming back to classes, we are helping students acclimated to the new year with wish cards! SKZ 16th Generation Black Belt Advancement(2)
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, we proudly hosted our final Black Belt Advancement of the year — an incredible milestone marked by skill, discipline, and heart. This round of testing welcomed 12 candidates in total, consisting of: 4 Red/Black Belts, 4 Black Belts, 4 First-Degree Black Belts.
